The Calendar Story
Six years ago, I was living in Cambodia and having that same old Google-spiral experience. Looking up dates for holidays, I got distracted by the ping of a new email, a Facebook notification, an SMS from a friend. Before I knew it, I looked up and one hour had passed. I felt frustrated, unproductive and – worst of all – I still didn’t know the holiday date! This made it clear to me that I wanted my Jewish holiday calendar offline and that I wanted a beautiful way to remember the Jewish holiday Dates that year, and every year.
I decided to create the thing I wanted and needed, a beautiful Jewish Holiday Calendar Art Print, to take my screen-spiral out of Jewish holidays once and for all. For the last few years, the build up to Rosh Hashanah has been a busy time for me. As I have coordinated last minute sales, I also took my annual trip to visit my family in Maine. While there, my mom, my husband, my daughter and I would spend long hours packing up calendar orders on the kitchen table!
This year, for the first time since 2013, my mom and I will be able to relax while the organising, packing and sending is taken care of.
