Apple Sauce – Jewish Food Hero Kitchen

Ingredients

6 cups apples, cored, peeled & diced

1 cup apple juice

1 teaspoon sea salt

½ cup raw sugar or maple syrup

1 teaspoon cinnamon

Measuring cups and spoons

Peeler

Potato masher (or food processor)

Teaspoon 

4-quart saucepan


Instructions

  1. Place all ingredients in a 4-quart saucepan and bring to a gentle boil over medium heat

  2. Reduce heat to low, cover and simmer for 25 minutes, or until apples are very soft

  3. Mash to a chunky texture by hand, or purée in a food processor.
